Content Description
-
Single Variable Calculus: An Introduction to Integration is a free and open textbook and is a great introduction to integration for students who have already taken courses in differential calculus. The book explains Calculus II concepts adequately, comprehensively, and concisely, and its topics are reflective of the content areas in other published Calculus textbooks. Problems in the textbook do not only test computational skills, but are also applicable and related to real-life problems and areas that students are interested in. The text gives an adequate picture of Calculus II – Integral Calculus and prepares students for other disciplines like Engineering and Physics, as well as higher-level Mathematics courses.

These free and open educational resources are designed to meet the needs of students taking Intermediate Algebra. Two OERs are presented here: Intermediate Algebra by Lynn Marecek & Andrea Honeycutt Matthis, licensed under CC BY, and Intermediate Algebra by John Redden, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA. The textbook by Marecek & Matthis adequately meets students needs and matches the curriculum for Intermediate Algebra. It is a textbook of excellent quality that students will enjoy learning from. Redden's textbook is recommended as a supplemental texbook. It contains more exercises and worked examples, and students can also see other methods of solving problems.

Content Description
-
The content, resources and assignments in this document can be used to strengthen critical thinking and creative thinking skills. Some of the content, resources and assignments can also be used to strengthen cultural competence. In addition to a wide variety of resources, the document includes original content, assignments and “thought journal” prompts that can be used individually, or they can be combined to build on each other. To avoid confusion, I’ve noted sources before and after long external content.
