These free and open educational resources are designed to meet the needs of students taking Intermediate Algebra. Two OERs are presented here: Intermediate Algebra by Lynn Marecek & Andrea Honeycutt Matthis, licensed under CC BY, and Intermediate Algebra by John Redden, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA. The textbook by Marecek & Matthis adequately meets students needs and matches the curriculum for Intermediate Algebra. It is a textbook of excellent quality that students will enjoy learning from. Redden's textbook is recommended as a supplemental texbook. It contains more exercises and worked examples, and students can also see other methods of solving problems.

Multicultural literature features works written by African American, Asian American, Native American, and Latino authors as they intersect with issues of race, gender, class, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, and nationality.
